The proposition

Three engines, one branded club.

Each partner powers a distinct benefit. Reward budgets stay separate from the agency's software subscription.

Experian01

Recognise rent

With tenant permission and an approved reporting arrangement, transmit verified rent payment records from GNB CRM to Experian. May help build credit history; cannot guarantee a score increase.

GNB02

Reward rent

Grant capped loyalty points after confirmed rent receipt. Keep reward budgets separate from the agency's software subscription.

Currensea03

Reward spending

Explore individually agency-branded cards linked to tenants' existing accounts. Everyday points depend on commercial, technical and issuer terms.

Why agencies buy

Brand pride

“Your logo. Your tenant club. Your branded card.”

The agent launches a visible consumer benefit that feels like their own product.

Commercial value

Tenant engagement, differentiated landlord pitches, referrals, potential ancillary income and CRM-linked measurement.

Treat uplift as a hypothesis until demonstrated.

The business model

£2,500 per agency, per year.

£12.50

Critical unit economics. £2,500 covers only £12.50 per tenant per year for a 200-tenant agency. A 0.25% reward on £1,500 monthly rent costs £45 per tenant per year. Unlimited rent cashback is not viable at this price without separate funding.

90-day validation roadmap

Prove it before we scale it.

  1. 1
    Days 1–15

Get the partner terms in writing

Experian: supplier approval, data specification, consent/lawful basis, corrections, credit-file effects, cost and reporting schedule. Currensea: master programme, sub-branding, card pricing, rewards economics, APIs, support and minimum volumes.

  2. 2
    Days 15–30

    Validate the agency sale

Interview 10 current GNB agencies; mock up each agency's card; seek 3–5 pilot commitments and explicit willingness to pay £2,500 at renewal.

  3. 3
    Days 30–60

    Build a minimum viable platform

Tenant opt-in, tenancy-to-payment matching, reporting consent records, payment corrections, rewards ledger, agency dashboard, branded tenant portal and audit logs.

  4. 4
    Days 60–90

    Run the pilot

Start with rent reporting where approved. Add capped rent points; launch cards only when issuer approval is complete. Track enrolment, verified payments, card activation, referrals, cost per active tenant and willingness to renew.

Risk register

What could go wrong.

R1

Data accuracy & tenant rights

Late rent, partial payments, reversals, joint tenancies, incorrect matching, disputes and tenancy endings require documented handling. Obtain specialist UK data protection and credit reporting advice.

R2

Brand and regulated activities

Do not imply GNB is the bank or card issuer. Confirm FCA, financial promotion, scheme, credit reporting and data sharing responsibilities with each partner.

R3

Rewards funding

Merchant-funded offers are attractive but unproven. Cap point liability and model cash redemption, partner fees and fraud losses.

R4

Tenant trust

Explain clearly that missed rent may have adverse credit-file implications, that score changes are not guaranteed and that card adoption is optional.

Our meeting

Five decisions required.

Status: strategic concept based on GNB's discussions as described. Neither Experian reporting access nor Currensea card programme terms are represented as signed or operational.
